All About The Benjamins

This song has to hold some kind of record for most remixes. . . . that rock remix went kinda hard, though.

Love Unlimited was an all girl trio which not only backed up the immortal Barry White, but they also achieved moderate success on their own.

I'm Tryin Girls Out

For my man D Byrd in the comment box.

The Poindexter Brothers began as writers for other big name acts such as the O'Jays. Along the way, the brothers brought along two other vocalists, thereby becoming the The Persuaders, and the group, in various incarnations, has enjoyed over 40 years in the industry.

Belaid shot me a quick comment in my comment box to the right, asking for some Just Blaze tracks.

Then, my man Sy Shack sent me this Dionne Warwick with two songs it was sampled in. . . . the Usher was easy, but how you forget this other one???? SY, I'M FROM PHILLY!!

I appreciate the assist, though. If anybody else got some requests they'd like to see, or wanna give me a helping hand, holla at me.

Kool and the Gang was formed in Jersey City, New Jersey in 1964, and still play around the world today! Ladies and gentlemen, that's well over four decades in the game. . . wow. According to Wikipedia, "They went through several musical phases in their career, starting out with a purist jazz sound, becoming practitioners of R&B and funk, progressing to a smooth disco ensemble, and ended the successful period of their career producing pop/R&B crossovers"

A House Where Slow Jamz Are Played

Ok, now if you're a regular to this site, you know I dont usually do this. I like to dig in the crates, and make my readers drop their jaws when they hear the originals. I don't want to give you guys stuff you already know. But I LOVE this Luther! Yo, it's sooooooooo damn smooth! I just couldn't resist. . . . Forgive me!

Pick Your Poison

Ok, let me try something different. "Pick Your Poison" is where I give you one song sampled by more than one artist. If you want, just leave a comment saying which one you prefer. One of my missions was to get that dialogue going again about good music, and I think this is perfect. Now of course, you know I gotta start yall off with some heat!

Maze feat. Frankie Beverly - I Need You

Young Jeezy - Talk To Em

50 Cent - Hustler's Ambition

Both of these tracks go hard, but I think Jeezy takes it this time. . .

The Official Summer Anthem

"Honkin at the honey/ In front of you/ With the light eyes./ She turn around to see/ What you beepin at/ It's like the summer's a natural aphrodisiac. . . ."

Couldn't have been said any better. People hate on Will, but without him, hip hop would DEFINITELY not be as big as it is today.
