Eddie Kendricks co-founded The Temptations and was lead singer for 11 years, from 1960 - 1971. His last song with the group was "Just My Imagination (Running Away with Me)". which actually reached number one. However, by the time the song hit the top of the charts, Kendricks was already out the group He did enjoy some solo success, including a number one hit with "Keep On Truckin".

All About The Benjamins
This song has to hold some kind of record for most remixes. . . . that rock remix went kinda hard, though.
Love Unlimited was an all girl trio which not only backed up the immortal Barry White, but they also achieved moderate success on their own.

I'm Tryin Girls Out
For my man D Byrd in the comment box.
The Poindexter Brothers began as writers for other big name acts such as the O'Jays. Along the way, the brothers brought along two other vocalists, thereby becoming the The Persuaders, and the group, in various incarnations, has enjoyed over 40 years in the industry.

I appreciate the assist, though. If anybody else got some requests they'd like to see, or wanna give me a helping hand, holla at me.

Halftime
Kool and the Gang was formed in Jersey City, New Jersey in 1964, and still play around the world today! Ladies and gentlemen, that's well over four decades in the game. . . wow. According to Wikipedia, "They went through several musical phases in their career, starting out with a purist jazz sound, becoming practitioners of R&B and funk, progressing to a smooth disco ensemble, and ended the successful period of their career producing pop/R&B crossovers"

Pick Your Poison
Ok, let me try something different. "Pick Your Poison" is where I give you one song sampled by more than one artist. If you want, just leave a comment saying which one you prefer. One of my missions was to get that dialogue going again about good music, and I think this is perfect. Now of course, you know I gotta start yall off with some heat!
