Just Blaze has a very sick, twisted sense of humor, lol. He took the song from one of the most parodied videos off YouTube and turned it into a #1 hit single for Clifford. You, my friend, are officially a genius.
Oh, and just google "Numa Numa". You'll know the video as soon as you see the screen cap.

Just go to 3:16, and just break out in the Shawty Lo dance. It's cool.

Betcha By Golly Wow
What can I say? I was wrong about the kid Charles Hamilton. He got a lot of spit to him (pause). I love this sample, because it's so powerful, yet simple. Like, he didn't try to overdo it, and such a classic song doesn't need much.

Dear Followers
Please accept my apology. I have neglected you. No new updates in a month and a half?! What the hell???? Well, my LSATs are done, and I have nothing but time on my hands.
So this site is going through an overhaul. A while back, zshare was shut down for a while, so all of the links on the site (save for like 10) are dead.
That will all be fixed this weekend.
Papagiorgio is back.

You Sure Love To Ball
Just listening to this Marvin puts me in a WHOLE 'nother world. . . . I was trying to think who would be my generation's closest equivalent to Marvin, and there really isn't one.
Marvin Gaye will forever be in a class of his own.

A Love Of Your Own
Another Remake!
Average White Band (also AWB) is a Scottish funk and R&B band who had a series of soul and disco hits between 1974 and 1980. Between them and Hall & Oates, these white boys be puttin out that product!
By the way, Papagiorgio is a HUGE Hall & Oates fan. . . just an FYI.

Candido Camero (born April 22, 1921) is Cuban percussionist (mainly conga and bongo) who backed many Afro-Cuban jazz and straightforward jazz acts since the 1950s. He moved to New York in 1952 and started recording with Dizzy Gillespie. During 1953-54 he was in the Billy Taylor quartet and in 1954 he performed and recorded with Stan Kenton. He also enjoyed some hits during the disco era, most notably with the Babatunde Olatunji penned track "Jingo" which he recorded for Salsoul Records, which was off the Dancin' and Prancin' Album

All Cried Out
For the next couple of posts, I want to try something different. We all know about the crazy rare songs that your favorite producer found, and turned into your favorite song. But what about the remake? What happens when you find out your favorite song is not an original, but actually a remade track, and the original is 100X better???? It's happened to me. . . . numerous times.

It's For Real
Murs and 9th Wonder make sweet music together (no homo), and we all benefit. This is off their third album Sweet Lord that they were giving away for free over the summer.
The Choice Four was an under appreciated soul group out of Washington, DC who had some real hits in my opinion. This track being one of them. It has a Jacksons feel to it (not Jackson Five, but the Jacksons. . . the grown up version, yamean?)

The Four Tops are a soul group from Detroit, Michigan who helped define the Motown sound of the 60s. The group was the main male vocal group for the songwriting and production team of Holland-Dozier-Holland, who crafted for the group a stream of hit singles, including two Billboard Hot 100 number-one hits - "I Can't Help Myself (Sugar Pie, Honey Bunch)" and "Reach Out I'll Be There"
