Thom Yorke is the lead singer of Radiohead, and they are single handedly changing the way music is distributed to the masses. The gave away their last album "In Rainbows" and allowed fans to choose what they paid for it. Although the band did not release sales figures, estimates put the early profits at over $2 million.
Genius.

Hurt Me Soul
I'm not a huge Lupe fan, but if I were ever forced to choose between liking him and not, this track would put me over to the positive. . . . It's one of the best odes to your first love:

I Can't, Won't Let You Leave
Lou Johnson had a ten year career, but only put out 2 albums and 10 singles. . . . Why!? Listening to this song, it's no wonder that he is held in such high regard by almost all of his peers and genuine lovers of old soul music. . . Lou Johnson was amazing!

Life On Mars
The more I dig in the crates for you guys, one thing becomes more and more apparent: Philly might be the most important city when it comes to the old soul music.
Dexter Mansel is a keyboardist out of West Philadelphia. He is seen as a contributor to the "Philly Sound", having worked with the renowned Gamble and Huff of Philadelphia International Records. Some of his collaborators include The Jacksons, Phyllis Hyman, Teddy Pendergrass, and Lou Rawls.

Celeste Legaspi is a Filipino singer. Lol, that's all I know about her! I can't find a picture, or even the album that this was on! But once you play this track, you'll probably think the same thing I was thinkin. . . . . "Wow!"
