The Stylistics are one of the more famous groups to come out of the whole Philadelphia soul era. On a side note, as a native Philly cat, it warms my heart to have my city have an entire sound (the Philly sound) attributed to us. Hell, it has its own entry in Wikipedia!

Fishscale is a standout of not just 2006, but the entire damn MILLENIUM. It's really that good. No, really. I wasn't a Ghostface fan really before this album, but it will change your mind about him. His word play, his flow, his subject matter. . . . He really is a blessing. Let's just say I actually went to Best Buy for Fishscale. Rolling Stone ranked it #5 on it's top 50 albums of 2006. . ahead of heavyweights like Johnny Cash, John Mayer, and Thom York. Go check out this album NOW!!!

When I Was Bad
Luther Ingram was an R&B soul singer and songwriter. He is best known for his hit (If Loving You Is Wrong) I Don't Want To Be Right, which I always thought was an Al Green track. Silly me, huh? Ingram died March 19, 2007 at a Belleville, Ill., hospital of heart failure.
