Tell Me What You Want From Me

It's wild, because ANYTHING from late 90s Bad Boy is legitimately a classic. Not only where they putting out the crazy singles that were being blasted from every radio, but the actual albums were top notch, too!

Remember them days. . . . when people actually put out quality albums? Sean just needs to make the rest of 08 nostalgic and just change his name one more time back to "Puffy". . . .

Man Of Steal

I remember, during the height of the Shiny Suit Era, there was an article about Puff, and that was the headline. I thought it was so damn clever! I was only like 13 or 14, but still. . . . It's a double entendre, and a very clever one. Puff was receiving a lot of flack for his heavy sampling, but his string of hits made him. . . .invincible. Like Superman.

The Shiny Suit Era

Although we may look back and laugh, EVERYBODY loved the shiny suit era of 1996. It was a good time for music. Reasonable Doubt, The Score. . . . But nothing compared to the impact that Bad Boy had on music. Puff just had his hand on the pulse of the world, and gave them what they wanted before they knew they wanted it! Even though there was the whole East/West nonsense of that era, Puff still focused on making the hits. And this song (and sample) was the gem of that era. It REALLY put Bad Boy on the map. Although the goal of Resurgence of the Soul Sample is to give you songs you might not know where sampled, I figured this can be an exception because of the impact that it had on music.
