Good Clothes
Back at the crib, we got a mall called Cheltenham Mall. When I was younger, we would hit the mall, and there was this store called "Scorpio" that sold all the fly shit . . . Rocawear, Akademiks, Guess, Azzure. . . lol, this was the late 90s! Every chick that worked there looked GOOD, and when you came in, then immediately offered to help you . . . . basically, I ain't have no dough, so i felt like a loser, so i avoided Scorpio like the plague! Now I'm a fly ass dude. . . .

René & Angela were an 80's R&B duo consisting of artist/producers René Moore and Angela Winbush. Angela met René in 1980, formed the group, and subsequently married. The relationship dissolved by the mid-80s, with the duo falling part not long after. Both went on to solo careers as performers, songwriters, and producers.

Hill Street Blues
Real recognize real, and Mike Post is a real legend. My man Mike has written music for TV shows since the 70s and has won five Grammys. Prior to that, he was a session musician for artists such as Sammy Davis, Jr. and Dean Martin, and Sonny and Cher. In fact, Post played guitar on their timeless classic "I Got You Babe".

Be Happy
They say pain makes for incredible art. That couldn't be any more truer than in the case of Mary J. Blige. When she was drugged up and in that wild ass relationship with K-Ci, she was puttin out that product! Timeless music, man. . . . just timeless.

Us Placers
Thom Yorke is the lead singer of Radiohead, and they are single handedly changing the way music is distributed to the masses. The gave away their last album "In Rainbows" and allowed fans to choose what they paid for it. Although the band did not release sales figures, estimates put the early profits at over $2 million.
Genius.

On That Philly Shit
So what it's Busta's song??? This is my site, and Free went IN on this beat, so I posted his version.
Every major city needs to have one of those "nostalgia songs" that takes you back to like the early to mid 90s. . . . when life was basically perfect.
