Grant Green was a jazz guitarist and composer from St. Louis. He recorded as both a leader and a sideman for Blue Note Records, the legendary jazz record label. Green was an underrated player during his lifetime, and after his death in 1979, he was elevated to nearly legendary status by his contemporaries.
